These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the My Wine Cellar application and website (the "Service"), operated by the developer of My Wine Cellar ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
My Wine Cellar helps you catalog, organize, and track a personal wine collection. It includes optional AI-assisted features such as label scanning, flavor-profile and drink-window suggestions, natural-language search, cellar organization, and market-price estimates. These features are provided for convenience and are best-effort estimates, not professional, financial, or investment advice.
You must be of legal drinking age in your jurisdiction (at least 18, or 21 where required) to use the Service. The Service is for tracking wine you lawfully own; it does not sell or ship alcohol.
You are responsible for your account and for keeping your login secure. You may use the Service as a guest with on-device storage, or sign in to sync across devices. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter.
AI-generated content — including recognized label text, flavor profiles, drink windows, and price estimates — may be inaccurate or incomplete. Always review and edit before relying on it. Market-price information is an estimate and not an offer, appraisal, or guarantee of value. You are solely responsible for decisions you make based on the Service.
You agree not to misuse the Service, including: violating any law; infringing others' rights; uploading content you don't have rights to; attempting to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Service; or using it to store unlawful content.
You retain ownership of the content you add (wine details, photos, notes). You grant us a limited license to store and process that content solely to operate and improve the Service for you, including sending images and wine details to our AI providers to generate the features you request. If you opt in to contributing to community averages, aggregated and anonymized tasting data may be used to compute cross-user statistics; you can opt out at any time in Settings.
The Service, including its software, design, and branding, is owned by us and protected by law. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks or to redistribute the Service.
The Service relies on third parties including Supabase (hosting/database), RevenueCat and Stripe (payments), Anthropic and Google (AI processing), and email providers. Your use of the Service is also subject to their terms where applicable.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any estimate or suggestion is accurate.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or USD $50.
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time (Settings → delete account). We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or to comply with law.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with an updated effective date; continued use after changes means you accept them.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, unless a mandatory law in your place of residence provides otherwise.
